US liquid and imperial units differ: 1 US gal = 3.785411784 L, while 1 imperial gal = 4.54609 L. The US customary cup is 236.5882365 mL; a metric cup is 250 mL. Dry measures and the 240 mL US labeling cup are not included. Volume cannot be converted to ingredient weight without density.
