Days between dates calculator — days, weeks & workdays
Count days between two dates, see weeks and remaining days, and exclude your chosen weekends. Optional end-date inclusion. Free and private in your browser.
Choose a start and end date. Results update automatically. By default, the start date is counted and the end date is excluded. Turn on Include end date to count both. Choose a weekend pattern for the workday subtotal, then copy your result.
Good to know
Gregorian calendar dates from year 0001 to 9999. Counts calendar days, not elapsed hours; daylight-saving changes do not alter the result. Workdays exclude only the selected weekends: public holidays, leave and local scheduling rules are not deducted. Today uses your device’s local date. Dates are not saved or uploaded.
By default it counts the interval from the start date up to, but not including, the end date. October 1 to October 8 is 7 days. Include end date makes it 8 days. Identical dates give 0 days, or 1 with inclusion enabled.
Are holidays excluded from workdays?
No. The subtotal removes only the weekend pattern you choose. A public holiday on a weekday is still counted. This is not a country-specific business-day or legal deadline calculator.
Do leap years and daylight saving affect the result?
Valid February 29 dates are supported. Arithmetic uses calendar-day numbers rather than local elapsed hours, so daylight-saving transitions do not introduce a missing or extra day.
Why show weeks instead of months and years?
Weeks always have seven days. Calendar months and years have variable lengths, so the tool shows exact total days and whole weeks with a remainder rather than ambiguous decimal months.
