Remove duplicate lines from text or lists. Keep the original order, optionally trim spaces, ignore case, and remove blank lines—all in your browser.
● Your files stay yours
One item per line. Up to 200,000 characters; some emoji count as more than one toward this limit. Options are off by default.
Copy becomes available when a result is ready. Editing inputs or options clears the previous result.
How to use this tool
Paste a list with one item per line and choose Remove duplicates. The first occurrence is kept in its original position. For example, apple, banana, apple on separate lines becomes apple, banana. Try the example, change the options, and run again. Copy the result or use Clear to start over.
Good to know
Matching is exact by default: Apple and apple are different, as are lines with extra spaces. Trimming removes whitespace from both ends of each output line. Ignore letter case compares Unicode lowercase forms while keeping the first spelling; it does not remove accents or merge every language-specific equivalent. Remove blank lines also removes whitespace-only lines. Windows, Unix, and old Mac line endings are accepted; output uses Unix line endings with no added final newline. A final input newline is not an extra record. The limit is 200,000 UTF-16 code units, so some emoji use two or more units. This tool does not parse CSV columns, validate addresses, or sort your list.
