Image metadata editor and remover

Both actions rebuild the image from decoded pixels. Source EXIF, GPS, IPTC, XMP and text chunks are not copied; clean output can still contain technical data added by the browser, such as dimensions or resolution. JPEG is re-encoded and may lose quality. Color profiles, HDR data and embedded thumbnails are not preserved; colors may change. Orientation is applied by the browser. PNG transparency is retained. This is not redaction: visible names, faces and location clues remain. Filesystem dates and names are outside this tool’s control.

Up to 10 MiB and 25 megapixels; maximum side 16,384 px. Static JPEG/PNG only; animated PNG is rejected. Processing stops after 30 seconds. No uploads or autosave.

Replacement metadata

Up to 1,000 characters per field. JPEG uses standard XMP; PNG uses uncompressed iTXt. Applications vary in which fields they display. All other source metadata is discarded on export. The JSON report includes source metadata, which may contain GPS or personal details.
