Random number generator — custom range, no repeats
Generate random integers in a custom range, with or without repeats. Pick one number or up to 1,000, sort results, copy or download TXT. Free and browser-only.
Set the minimum and maximum (both included), then choose how many numbers you need. Allow repeats for independent picks or choose no repeats for unique numbers within this batch. Select the output order and generate. Copy one number per line or download TXT. Enter in any number field generates a new batch; Reset restores 1 to 100 and clears results.
Good to know
Whole numbers from −1,000,000,000,000 to 1,000,000,000,000; 1 to 1,000 results per batch. Arabic and Persian digits are accepted. No decimal values, grouping separators or scientific notation. Uses your browser’s Web Crypto generator; there is no seed, saved history, external random service or independently verifiable draw record. Results are not stored or uploaded.
For a six-sided die, choose 1 to 6 and allow repeats. To pick five different numbered items, set the range to your item numbers, request five results and choose no repeats. To shuffle a numbered sequence, request every number in the range with no repeats and keep random order.
Random number generator questions
Are the minimum and maximum included?
Yes. For 1 to 10, either 1 or 10 can be selected. A range containing just one number is also valid; without repeats, you can request only one result from it.
How do I generate unique random numbers?
Choose no repeats. Every number in that batch will be different, and the requested count must fit in the range. Uniqueness does not carry across batches: generating again can select numbers from an earlier result.
Is the generator random and unbiased?
It uses Crypto.getRandomValues, the browser’s cryptographically strong pseudorandom generator. Rejection sampling avoids modulo bias when fitting random values to your range. Unique batches use uniform subset sampling followed by a shuffle. Small samples can still have clusters or repeated values when repeats are allowed.
Does sorting change which numbers were selected?
No. The chosen sort order only changes the presentation of a newly generated batch. Changing an option clears the previous output, and Generate creates a fresh batch. Choose random order when the position of each pick matters.
Can I reproduce a draw with a seed?
No. There is no custom seed or saved history. Copy or download any result you want to keep before generating again. This utility does not provide an audited or publicly verifiable draw.
Can I use it for passwords or encryption keys?
Use the dedicated password or UUID tool for those formats. This utility returns integers in a chosen range and is not an encryption-key generator.
